Carolina Raptor Center is a living museum, dedicated to the conservation of birds of prey. Located in Latta Plantation Nature Preserve on 57 acres, our 3/4 mile Raptor Trail is home to over 25 species of native and exotic raptors — hawks, falcons, eagles, merlins, kites and vultures.
Birds have captured the creative imagination of humans for thousands of years. You find examples of this in art, science, and culture all over the world. The Carolina Raptor Center seeks to make connections with these inspirations in order to create wonder for visitors of all ages. Their exhibits meet visitors through concepts that they understand in order to activate them to protect the natural world in new and creative ways. Their programs spark creativity in children and adults to take these connections and engage in science, art and cultural change to better the world around us.
Difference Created is proud to volunteer at this organization every week! To learn about the difference they are making for the raptors, the environment, and public awareness, check them out at carolinaraptorcenter.org.
